Shape Homes is set to become a major player in Queensland after its sister company ID Land secured a 210-hectare site in Moreton Bay.
The development at Rocksberg, west of Morayfield, Queensland will be home to over 3,000 lots over the next decade with an end value in excess of $1 billion.
Managing Director Matthew Belford said the site represents one of the most significant opportunities in the country.
“We have great confidence in the Queensland market, in particular the south east, with this acquisition giving us a significant pipeline,” Mr Belford said.
“The Rocksberg site was one of the best opportunities that has come to market in many years and we are thrilled that we have been able to secure the site.
“We plan to create a landmark master planned community that will set a new benchmark and underpin our business in Queensland for over a decade.
“With this acquisition ID Land now moves into the top 10 land developers by future pipeline in Australia.”
“As the group’s biggest acquisition in our 16-year history, these deals underscore our national expansion ambitions, which now includes NSW and South Australia to go with our Victorian and Queensland operations.”
Located within the City of Moreton Bay and part of the Waraba Priority Development Area, the site at Old North Road in Rocksberg will increase the company’s footprint within the City of Moreton Bay to 5,000 lots, making it one of the largest land developers in the locality.
The Rocksberg site complements ID Land’s entry into the City of Moreton Bay via several off-market acquisitions across 2023 and 2024 spanning Waraba and Narangba.
The City of Moreton Bay is one of the fastest growing LGAs in the country and is expected to see significant ongoing population growth in coming years.
ID Land was successful in securing the highly sought-after Rocksberg site in a select off-market process.
The Rocksberg acquisition supports the long-term growth pipeline for the complementary companies that sit within the ID CORP group alongside ID Land, including homebuilder SHAPE Homes, land lease community operator Next Living, and fund manager Title Capital.
