Brisbane, QLD – Thousands of homeowners, renovators, and industry pros flocked to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from February 21-23 for the Brisbane Home Show, eager to explore the latest in home building, design, and technology.
From spectacular outdoor spaces to the rise of home wellness trends, this year’s show proved that homeowners are more ambitious—and health-conscious—than ever.
“The Home Show is such a great chance for builders to connect with people in a way that builds trust and real relationships,” said Aaron Ng of The Good Builder.
“When homeowners can see, touch, and talk through their ideas with professionals in person, it makes a world of difference.”
Trends That Took Centre Stage
New Homes Going Next Level (Literally!)
For homeowners looking to elevate their living (literally),` lifts were a standout feature at this year’s show. With urban blocks getting tighter and homeowners opting to build up instead of out, exhibitors like Aussie Lifts showcased sleek, space-saving home lift solutions designed to future-proof homes.
“People are planning ahead, whether it’s for mobility in later years or just adding a high-end feature to their homes,” said Lisa Small, Sales Manager of Aussie Lifts.
Outdoor Spaces Are Stronger Than Ever
Queenslanders have always loved their outdoor spaces, but this year’s show proved just how much strong, stylish, and durable materials are shaping the future of outdoor living.
From COLORBOND® steel, which remains a go-to for roofing and fencing, to the stunning displays from MyCladders and Atlas Frames, there was a clear trend toward robust materials that enhance both aesthetics and longevity.
“We’re seeing more people invest in long-term solutions for their homes, including still some strong demand for smaller format homes such as granny flats and tiny homes,” said Ricardo Romhalo owner of Atlas Frames.
“Over the COVID period, the demand for smaller homes skyrocketed, and while it may have stabilised, these events also give us a chance to also connect with others in the industry which we can also collaborate with.”
Healthier Homes Are In Demand
A home isn’t just a place to live, it’s a place to thrive. The biggest surprise at this year’s show? The huge demand for home wellness solutions.
Cold plunges, infrared saunas, and air-purification systems were among the biggest talking points, with exhibitors noting a massive surge in interest. More homeowners are prioritising health and recovery, integrating spa-like wellness features into their everyday lives.
“People want homes that support their health, not just look good,” said Melissa Clendinden, General Manager of Exhibitions and Events Australia. “Saunas, cold therapy, and improved air quality are becoming as much a part of home design as kitchens and bathrooms, so we’ve seen an uplift in these types of exhibitors in recent years, especially this year”.
Why Exhibitors Love This Show
With more than 150 exhibitors and over 20,000 punters walking through the doors, the event provided a valuable opportunity for businesses to connect with new customers.
“Delivering the Brisbane Home Show is always a highlight for us,” said Melissa. “Not only does it showcase the best of the industry, but it also fosters real conversations between experts and homeowners, which is where the magic happens.”
“This is what the event is all about. Celebrating the home building, renovation and improvement industry and connecting customers with our amazing exhibitors that provide so much valuable information over the course of the event.”
Interior Designer and styling expert James Treble, who took to the Home Inspo Stage to bring his passion, expertise and talent to Brisbane had this to say about the importance of the show and the content that was set to be delivered.
“We talk about house design and home, but when I duck home and grab a pair of shoes, I don’t duck house. So I think ‘home’, the word home, is more holistic and it has a big impact on how we feel every day. You wake up in a good looking home, which might be just simple paint choices, which are cost effective to transform the space. It affects your whole day.”
“This event is also about relationships and a sense of trust. So finding out who the builders are, getting that word of mouth and building those relationships is so important, and this event helps facilitate that,” Mr Treble continued.

For exhibitors, it’s not just about making sales on the spot, it’s about building long-term relationships.
“For us we know that it’s a great brand awareness exercise and our brand is certainly more recognised for it.” Kendrick Myers, Founder and Director of MyCladders said.
“It allows potential clients to create the connection between MyCladders and COLORBOND® steel and that we are the experts in it, that’s a great benefit as we can talk to them face-to-face and impart our expertise.”
