In an industry where hard hats are mandatory and vulnerability is often masked behind bravado, a new campaign is using rugby league to tackle an invisible crisis head-on.

The Good Builder, in partnership with the Gold Coast Titans, Lauxes Grates, and mental health organisation TIACS (The Home of Blue Collar Counselling), has launched a powerful initiative: the chance to win a team-signed Titans jersey and two corporate box tickets to the Titans vs Rabbitohs game on August 1st. But the real prize is something far more valuable—a stronger, more supported workforce.

TIACS Quarterly Impact Report:

Construction’s Hidden Crisis

Australia’s construction industry has long battled a mental health emergency. Workers in the sector are six times more likely to die from suicide than from a workplace accident. Long hours, financial stress, job insecurity, and a culture of stoicism all contribute to a perfect storm.

TIACS is one of the few support services designed for tradies, truckies, farmers, and blue-collar workers. The demand for their services is clear.

In the last quarter alone, 543 clients reached out to TIACS—95% of them were blue-collar workers or those who care about them. The majority were aged 26–35, with carpenters and labourers making up nearly 40% of all contacts. Top reasons for reaching out included relationship issues, stress, depression, and employment concerns.

“We know from experience and data that these industries are under extreme pressure,” says The Good Builder CEO Aaron Ng. “But when someone starts a conversation—whether it’s at work, over a beer, or through a campaign like this—real change starts to happen.”

What You Can Win

This campaign is as much about awareness as it is about excitement. For just $5 per ticket, supporters go in the draw to win:

A limited-edition Gold Coast Titans jersey signed by the entire NRL squad.
Two corporate box tickets to the Titans vs Rabbitohs game on August 1st, including food, drinks, and VIP views.

There’s no limit on how many tickets you can purchase. Every ticket directly supports a free counselling session for someone doing it tough.

“We wanted to create a campaign that starts conversations, even if the tackle hurt a little…” says Aaron Ng, CEO of The Good Builder. “And if that conversation stops even one bloke from falling through the cracks, then we’ve already won.”

It’s More Than a Raffle—It’s a Movement

This campaign sends a clear message: you don’t have to wear hi-vis to help someone who does. Whether you’re a builder, supplier, footy fan, or simply someone who cares—every ticket helps keep the lines open and the conversation going.
