Building Smarter: Green Timber Technology and White Picket Fence Forge Partnership to Halve Build Times
In a move set to reshape how new homes are built in Australia, Green Timber Technology (GTT) has joined forces with integrated property group White Picket Fence to deliver high-quality homes in half the time of traditional methods.
Under the new partnership, GTT’s prefabricated timber systems will power White Picket Fence’s home-building arm, Brooklyn Homes, enabling the company to construct and hand over a completed residence in just three months, a significant improvement on the industry’s average six-month timeframe.
With 100 homes slated for delivery by the end of 2026, the partnership represents one of the largest and most ambitious collaborations in Australia’s modern construction sector to date.

Left to Right : Jason Bennett (Durant Wyot Capital), Thomas Hutton (Brooklyn Homes), Peter Khoury (White Picket Fence), Pete Morrison (Green Timber Technology), Phil Leahy (White Picket Fence), Alan Ishak (Brooklyn Homes), Zaed Aznam ( Brooklyn Homes) and Marcus Kraeftt (Green Technology).
A Manufacturing Breakthrough for Home Building
GTT specialises in precision-engineered wall, floor, and roof systems made from renewable timber. Each component is created using digital design tools, Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) principles, and CNC production, ensuring that every panel is built to millimetre accuracy before being flat-packed for transport.
Once delivered onsite, the systems are assembled in weeks rather than months, with far less waste and a dramatically lower margin for error.
“This exclusive MMC partnership marks a significant step forward in how quality homes are delivered in Australia,” said Pete Morrison, CEO of GTT. “White Picket Fence shares our vision for precision, speed, and sustainability in home construction values that sit at the core of what we do.”
Morrison said the partnership reflects a new era of collaboration between technology and traditional building craftsmanship.
“Together, we’re bringing advanced housing solutions to life combining modern design with manufacturing certainty. It’s about giving homeowners a beautifully crafted home, delivered faster, and giving builders a reliable way to scale with confidence.”
Why It Matters: Tackling the Housing Shortage
The partnership comes at a critical time. Australia’s housing shortage continues to deepen, with delays, cost escalations, and material shortages placing strain on both builders and buyers.
By manufacturing key elements offsite, GTT’s system offers speed, cost predictability, and quality control, three areas under intense pressure across the construction sector.
For White Picket Fence, the alliance unlocks the ability to scale delivery without compromising standards. With capacity to produce up to 2,250 homes per year, the company believes the model could become a benchmark for future suburban growth.
“Our partnership with GTT will revolutionise the way our homes are designed and built,” said Phil Leahy, Group CEO of White Picket Fence. “We can now deliver a brand-new home in three months, rather than six giving buyers greater peace of mind around both cost and timeframe.”
Leahy said the collaboration also tackles one of the industry’s biggest friction points: delays caused by trade shortages and weather.
“The modular process reduces the number of trades required onsite and lessens weather impacts. It’s a more reliable, predictable approach to home building.”
Precision, Speed and Sustainability
GTT’s approach isn’t just about efficiency, it’s about sustainability and longevity. Each system is crafted from renewable timber, with waste minimised through digital design and manufacturing accuracy.
The result is a lighter environmental footprint compared to traditional construction, while maintaining strength and durability that meet or exceed Australian standards.
By producing entire homes in a factory-controlled environment, GTT also eliminates inconsistencies caused by variable site conditions, ensuring each structure meets strict quality benchmarks.
It’s a model that aligns closely with emerging global trends, as governments and builders look to offsite manufacturing and timber-based systems to meet net-zero housing goals.
A Modern Business Model for a New Generation of Homebuyers
Founded in 2022, White Picket Fence was created to break down barriers for homebuyers, particularly first-home buyers struggling with deposit requirements and soaring land prices.
Through its unique ecosystem, the group manages the entire property journey:
- Empower Money: its finance arm, backed by major non-bank lenders, offers up to 105% home loans, removing the need for a deposit.
- Property Gateway Partners Australia: assists buyers in selecting the right home and land package.
- Brooklyn Homes: constructs each property, now in partnership with GTT.
- Bluecrest Legal: handles conveyancing and legal services.
The company has already facilitated more than 250 property sales, valued at over $200 million, across New South Wales and Queensland and is now eyeing expansion along the Eastern Seaboard.
In just two years, White Picket Fence’s revenue has grown from $2 million in 2023 to $12 million in 2025, with forecasts to double again next year.
“Our model simplifies home ownership from end to end,” Leahy explained. “We provide finance, manage construction, and now through our partnership with GTT deliver homes faster, with greater certainty. It’s a complete solution for modern buyers.”
The Rise of Offsite Manufacturing in Australia
The GTT – White Picket Fence partnership reflects a broader industry shift toward Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).
Offsite manufacturing and modular systems are gaining traction as a solution to the dual pressures of housing affordability and labour constraints.
Australia has been slower to adopt large-scale prefab housing compared to markets like Europe and New Zealand, but GTT’s success signals that change is underway.
“The traditional build process simply can’t keep pace with the demand for new homes,” Morrison said. “Modern manufacturing allows us to do more with less; less waste, less delay, and less uncertainty.”
By securing its supply chain 12 months in advance, GTT ensures price stability in a volatile market, another key benefit for builders and buyers alike.
The Good Builder View
At The Good Builder, we’ve seen a clear acceleration in prefab partnerships and modular design in 2025 not as a trend, but as a necessity.
The GTT and White Picket Fence collaboration demonstrates how innovation, technology, and smart finance models can work together to create meaningful change in housing delivery.
Rather than waiting for supply chains or weather to align, this model shows how Australian builders can manufacture certainty, offering customers faster, greener, and more affordable homes.
It’s a partnership that could mark a new era for the construction industry, one where precision-built timber homes and factory assembly lines redefine what it means to build better.
