We’re Hitting the Ground Running
It’s official, we’ve just dropped the first The Good Builder Podcast episode, and we’re coming in hot! From breaking industry news to builder profiles and the best (and most interesting) stories in construction, this is the podcast you didn’t know you needed.
In our first episode, we’re diving into the weekly wrap in news, Cyclone Alfred and covering the biggest stories shaking up the industry, and, because life isn’t all frames, fitouts and contracts, we’re also talking about a Lightning McQueen-inspired Porsche. Yes, really. For us, it’s just another week at The Good Builder.
Last week, our co-founders Aaron and Pete recorded the first episode just 24 hours before Tropical Cyclone Alfred was due to make landfall near their homes on the Sunshine Coast. Reflecting on recording the first episode of podcast, Aaron and Pete expressed their excitement and some candid thoughts about kicking things off:
Aaron shared, “Recording our first episode was great fun, but it’s always a bit strange seeing and hearing yourself back. We’re definitely keen to share the platform with our first guests soon, so we can share the spotlight and dive deeper into what makes the building industry tick.”
Pete added, “Our goal is to provide real value and insights while keeping it relaxed and authentic. We don’t want to take ourselves too seriously. We want to have some laughs along the way and keep it real for our listeners.”
Both co-founders emphasised the importance of authenticity, saying,
“The idea is to keep things genuine, informative, and entertaining.”
“Hopefully, our listeners will feel like they’re right here with us, sharing a laugh and learning something valuable in the process.”
We acknowledge it’s been a tough news week here in South East Queensland, especially with Cyclone Alfred keeping everyone on their toes.
