In our industry, where stress, pressure, and tough times are par for the course, knowing there’s someone on the other end of the line can make all the difference.

That’s why we reckon that TIACS is doing a great thing.

TIACS – The Home of Blue Collar Counselling , , is a professional free mental health counselling service for tradies, truckies, farmers, and blue-collar workers and their loved ones across Australia. No GP referrals. No jumping through hoops. Just a simple phone call or text to a professional counsellor who gets it.

Meet The Founders

Founded by Dan Allen and Ed Ross, the same fellas behind TradeMutt workwear, TIACS was built because they saw the gap firsthand. Too many good people were falling through the cracks because help felt too hard, too expensive, or too complicated.

Through TIACS, you can get up to eight free sessions with the same counsellor, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 10 pm AEST. No scripts. No ticking boxes. Just real chats when you need them most.

It’s simple, but powerful. As TIACS puts it.

“You don’t have to suffer in silence. You don’t have to go it alone. One conversation can change a life.”

Such An Important Message

That message has never been more important. The industry is losing workers to suicide at rates more than twice the national average. Most of us have known someone who’s struggled. Maybe you’ve even been there yourself.

We’re all for building better homes, smarter systems, and better businesses. But if we don’t also look out for each other, what’s the point?

Here at The Good Builder, we reckon real strength is being willing to have the tough conversations too. That’s why we’re proud to announce we’ll be partnering with and supporting TIACS as part of our TGB Fridays events.

Stay tuned for more on TGB Fridays.
