You don’t need an agency. You need a system.
If you’re running jobs, managing teams, and quoting new work, chances are your social media is inconsistent — or non-existent.
But in today’s building game, visibility equals credibility. And credibility wins trust.
This article outlines the same system we use at The Good Builder to help builders and trades produce professional, consistent content without outsourcing or spending hours on it each week.
Using just ChatGPT, Canva and Meta Business Suite, you can generate, design and schedule a full week of content in five minutes. Here’s how.
What You’ll Need
- A ChatGPT account
- A Google Sheet or Excel
- A Canva account
- Meta Business Suite access
- 5 to 10 minutes of your time
Step 1: Use ChatGPT to generate your content
Go to chat.openai.com and use the following prompt (or something like this):
You’re a marketing expert for a residential builder called [Your Business Name] on the [Your Location]. Please create a week of carousel-style social media content that explains the home building process, knockdown rebuilds, and how to find the right design. Each post should have five tiles with headline and sub-headline copy for each.
Then follow up with this:
Now turn this into a CSV file with the headers: “Main Copy”, “Sub Copy”, “Image Prompt”, “Hashtags”.
ChatGPT will return a complete content plan, broken into multiple tiles with clear copy, visual ideas, and post hashtags.
Step 2: Set up your carousel design in Canva
- Open Canva and create a 1080 x 1080px Instagram square design.
- Add two text boxes labelled:
- {{Main Copy}}
- {{Sub Copy}}
- Insert your brand fonts, colours and logo.
- Save the file as your reusable content template.
Tip: The placeholders ({{Main Copy}}, etc.) tell Canva where to place the content during your bulk upload.
Step 3: Upload content into Canva using Bulk Create
- Inside your Canva design, open the left-hand menu and select Apps > Bulk Create.
- Upload the CSV file you generated using ChatGPT.
- Canva will automatically match the fields to your placeholders.
- Click Generate — Canva will instantly produce all of your content tiles.
Within seconds, you’ll have a full week of branded, informative posts ready to go.
Step 4: Schedule your content in Meta Business Suite
- Open Meta Business Suite and go to the Planner.
- Select the time slots that best match when your audience is active (Meta will recommend this).
- Upload your Canva graphics.
- Copy and paste the post captions and hashtags from your spreadsheet.
- Click Schedule.
Your posts are now live for the week — without the need to log in daily.
Build once. Repeat weekly.
This is a repeatable system you can run every Monday morning in under 10 minutes. It works whether you’re managing one project or fifty. It keeps your brand in market, your message clear, and your workload light.
Marketing doesn’t have to be expensive. But it does have to be consistent.
